Day 15 – Guadalajara, Spain to Calatayud, Spain – 94 mi.

Our walk today is across a rather sparsely populated section of Spain to the small city of Calatayud . “It was founded by the Romans with the name Augusta Bilbilis . The actual city was founded by the muslims around the Ayub castle, the ancient inhabitants of Bilbilis was moving to the new place. The city was conquisted (sic.) for christians by Alfonso I of Aragon in 1120.”
