Day 6 –Lincoln City, Indiana to Frankfort, KY - 116 miles
Leaving the Lincoln Boyhood National Monument we walk in southern Indiana roughly paralleling the Ohio River on our south. We cross the Ohio River into Louisville, Kentucky, site of one of the dark moments in the history of Methodism in our country. There in 1845 delegates from the southern conferences separated from the rest of the denomination over the issue of slavery and organized the Methodist Episcopal Church, South . Today there are more than 50 United Methodist churches in Louisville. We continue our walk on to Frankfort.
