Day 28 – Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina to Aleksandrovac, Serbia– 134 mi.

Evidences of recent warfare are still evident in this beautiful country. Our walk today is a very long one and we will cross into a new country, Serbia. We are reminded that countries are political boundaries and not necessarily geographic boundaries.

Our destination city, Aleksandrovac, has an area population of only about 30,000 and it is in a very rural area. “The town fields several sports teams including basketball and volleyball teams, a handball team that plays in the top division in Serbia and FK Župa Aleksandrovac football team.”
