Forums
![]() You are invited to engage with FirstChurch's local faith based community in a new online round-table. The discussions at forums.fumcweb.com are an interactive venue where you can comment, discuss, listen and participate with friends in between worship and church gatherings. The forums were inspired by the Communications Committee with one of the goals being to provide a common gathering area for a church with two campuses. Committee member, Ted Kihm, said that one of the ideas behind the forums was to provide more interaction between the worshippers who attend different service times and locations. The forums are a great place to talk about faith, ask questions about your church, or participate in bible study. There is a section for Tech Tips if you need computer advice. The forums are of the congregation, by the congregation and for the congregation. By expanding our capability to communicate, we are able to share knowledge, resources, and content with one another, all in an effort to grow as a community, as leaders, and in our own faith. Join the forums and meet with others who are committed to making a difference in Lawrence and across the globe. Visiting the forums is easy - just type in http://forums.fumcweb.com into your favorite web browser and check out all that FirstChurch has to offer. You can also get there from the main web page of the church, http://www.fumclawrence.org. To post messages to the forums, users must go through a simple registration process. After clicking on the register link, enter in your email address and information. The forums will automatically generate an email to your account with a link inside that will validate your information and give you public access. There are also areas that are only accessible to congregation members. The Communication Team will be monitoring users that sign up and will grant them access to the Congregation section for members of the church. If you encounter any problems with registering or getting access to the Congregation area, please send a quick email to admin@fumcweb.com |
